Yet Another Great Pizzeria in Brooklyn

hotel in BrooklynI am a pizza fan.  Te be precise, I am a fan of New York-style pizza.  That said however, Brooklyn-style pizza is also awesome.  So if you are in the area or are so happening to be staying in a hotel in Brooklyn, I have yet another recommendation for a great pizzeria in Brooklyn.

Called the Blue Dish Cafe, it is a short cab ride – or a short walk – about a block away from the hotel in Brooklyn.  Heading there will give you the chance of checking out the area as well as grabbing some awesome grub from a nice local place.  The Blue Dish Cafe has a sizable menu that includes pizza – of course! – as well as fish and sushi!  So you have a lot of options to choose from here.  The pizza menu consists of delicious items like Sicilian-style pizza, stuffed pizza, calzones, garlic knots, ziti, and even lasagna.

If you are looking to eat healthier fair then the Blue Dish Cafe also has a salad bar where you can make your own salad with up to four toppings and dressing.

You have to love the local area.  There is an abundance of sights as well as delicious foods to eat.  This is especially true if you are a diehardp izza fan.

Looking For a Great Pizzeria In Brooklyn?

Well, if you are staying in a hotel in Brooklyn then you are in luck!  You are well within acceptable traveling distance to some of the great pizzerias in Brooklyn.  If you are as much of a pizza fan as I am, you should be jumping for joy at the prospect of eating awesome Brooklyn pizza.

hotel in BrooklynYou have no idea what Brooklyn pizza is?  It is like New York pizza but larger and with bigger toppings.  With that in mind, is that not something to look forward to?  Here is a place I can recommend: Amnon Kosher Pizza Inc.  It is located om 4814 13th Avenue which is easily walking distance from the hotel in Brooklyn.  Their menu consists of Kosher items, falafel, knishes, as well has various types of pizzas, calzones, and other assorted goodies.

If you are looking for something healthy, Amnon’s Kosher Pizza also has salad platters.  They also have whole wheat wraps that can have tuna, egg, babaganosh and more.  I do not think you can go wrong with this place.

Why Should I Stay In a Brooklyn Hotel?

Brooklyn hotelThat is a fair question.  Well for one thing, you are getting to stay in some luxurious suites in said Brooklyn hotel.  You get choose from these accommodations:

  • Studio.  A studio includes 2 bedrooms, a kitchen/dinette, and bull bathroom.  It can even hold a crib for parents with infant children.
  • Deluxe Suite. This lovely accommodation includes a master bedroom, a living room, and all the amenities already part of the Studio.  The master bedroom has full-sized beds, generous closet space as well as floor-to-ceiling mirrors.  The kitchenette even comes with a full-size fridge and electric burner.
  • Bridal Suite.  Congratulations to the happy new bride and groom!  Our bridal suite is brilliantly adorned in white to celebrate this momentous occasion.  These suites uses wall-to-wall carpeting and the beds are lovely Egyptian cotton bedding, goose down blankets, and very comfortable pillows.  The marble bathroom will wow you as well as the oversized jacuzzi.  In the morning, you can ask for a gourmet breakfast served to you in bed.
  • Presidential Penthouse Suite.  This impressive suite can hold up to five guests comfortably.  You get a fully stocked kitchen and wet bar.  This suite has a 19′ glass table that can be used for large business meetings or to host a grand dinner.  You get all the amenities you will ever need as well as luxury amenities like a surround sound system and 50″ wall-mounted flat-screen plasma TVs.

If these are not enough to convince you to book a suite in a Brooklyn hotel I do not know what will.

Typical Day In a Suite Hotel In NYC

suite hotel NYCOnce I have finished checking into a suite hotel in NYC, I usually let the bell attendants carry my bags to my room.  Even if I only have a small bag I let them do it because I like chatting with them.  The bell attendants and the concierge are usually the best sources of information regarding the area.  This means asking for directions; restaurant recommendations/reservations; the best tourist/date spots; and other stuff like that.

As someone who spent a summer as a bell attendant i can attest to this personally.  After letting the bellman assist me with my bags and showing me the room’s amenities, once they leave I usually jump face-first onto the bed to see how comfortable it really is.  I love doing that!  After that bit of theater I check out what the bathroom looks like and see if they have a bathtub, shower, sauna, or maybe all three!  Once that is out of the way I unpack most of my stuff and put my clothes into the drawers made available to me.  And once that is all squared away I relax with a nice warm shower or bath!

Seriously, what is not to love about staying in a suite hotel in NYC.

Loving My Stay In a Hotel In Brooklyn

hotel in brooklynI am currently staying in a hotel in Brooklyn and I have to say, it was not what I was expecting.  Yes, like with many other hotels I have been in I always expect a satisfactory level of personal service and care but this place really takes the cake.

First of all, coming up to the hotel itself I was impressed by the architecture and overall aesthetics.  And of course, walking into the hotel in Brooklyn did not yield disappointing results.  I had the friendly bell attendants take up my bags to my room as I squared away the arrangements with the just-as-friendly front desk person.  From there I was escorted up to my room by the bell attendant as he explained the hotel’s various amenities.  All the while I was asking him about a couple of local places that might be worth visiting that will not force me to take a train into Manhattan Island.  He told me about a nice restaurant with some good food at a decent price that even had some open-door seating.

With the weather getting nicer with each passing day I think that is the perfect place to grab some lunch and maybe some dinner.

Five Star Treatment In a Suite Hotel in NYC

suite hotel nycI have worked in a five start hotel before and let me tell you, we have provided five star quality service to each and every single one of our guests who have stayed in the hotel, even if it was only for one night.  Granted I did not work in a suite hotel in NYC but I can rightfully glean that they work in much the same way and provide an exacting amount of personal and professional service to guests.

As with many other things, it all starts with the first impression.  When guests walk into a suite hotel in NYC they have to be outright wowed – if not impressed – that the facade of the building is well-kept and gorgeous.  Valet and bell attendants have to be courteous, attentive, and have a friendly demeanor while still providing the highest level of professionalism and personal service possible.  From there the people inside the hotel – from the concierge and the front desk person all the way to the room service attendant – have to retain the same attitudes in order to provide the level of hospitality their guests are used to.

If any single part of this equation is lacking, then they cannot rightfully call themselves a five star hotel.

Family Staying In a Suite Hotel In NYC

suite hotel NYCThis past weekend I had family from overseas visit me.  They wanted to sightsee in New York City so I thought it was best they find a suite hotel in NYC instead of traveling back and forth from my house in New Jersey.  Since they had told me months in advance that they planned on staying in the city, I was able to make arrangements for them to rent a lovely room in Brooklyn, New York.

The suite hotel in NYC was large enough to comfortably house the family for several days; there were five of them total with two adults and three kids of various ages.  After I was done making reservations I asked to be transferred to the concierge – who was very friendly by the way – and asked for recommendations on what restaurants would be good for the entire family.  They also were kind enough to give me some recommendations for sightseeing options as well as places that they could bring their children along to have fun in.  Considering they have easy access to Manhattan Island with the trains, the city was theirs to visit and enjoy as they saw fit.  Armed with that information, I was able to ensure a fun time for my relatives.

“Which borough?”

“Brooklyn.”

“Okay.  I know a hotel in Brooklyn NY that I think you would like.  I think it is a great place and has all the amenities you might need.  How long are you staying in New York City?”

“About four to five days.  Maybe six just to do some sightseeing.”

“Okay.  There is this suite hotel in NYC called the Park House Hotel.  They have some very good rates for rooms that can easily go for double the price in other hotels like it.  They have studio rooms, deluxe suites, and even a presidential-penthouse suite.”

“Sounds great.”

“It is.  I have stayed there every time I have done business in the area.  I always choose the deluxe suite because it offers a lot of space to relax.  That suite has a master bedroom, a living room, kitchenette/dinette, and a full-sized bedroom.  I have had clients come in for meetings and just to relax and they have been impressed by the room every single time.”

“Fair enough.  I think you have sold me on this.”

Finding a Fancy Suite Hotel in NY

suite hotel NYI would prefer not to stay in a run-of-the-mill hotel.  In fact, I pretty much refuse to stay in a large hotel chain with average personal service and accommodations.  The truth is, I would take the extra effort to book a room in a fancy suite hotel in NY.

Suite hotels offer that level of service that can be found almost nowhere else.  We are talking about extremely professional valets, room attendants, desk people, servers and more.  The rooms themselves are also second-to-none and first rate when compared to the hotel chains that dot the city.  The amenities are also very grandiose.  The rooms are large and if necessary I can conduct meetings with clients and colleagues without feeling cramped or embarrassed about the state of the room.  If all else fails I can book a meeting with everyone in the very impressive meeting room that can be found in the suite hotel in NYC.  Since I like to do some cooking on my own, the kitchenette is the perfect way for me to prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  But if I am too busy in the morning to prepare anything, I can content myself with the breakfast buffet the hotel offers.

What I Enjoy the Most About Suite Hotels NYC

suite hotel NYCIn the rare times I have stayed in a suite hotel NYC I have made sure to enjoy my stay to the absolute fullest.  Asking the concierge about restaurants; making use of the gym; checking out the spa and/or pool; using a coupon for a free massage; using the business centers: these amenities, just to name a few, are what I look forward to taking advantage of whenever I stay in a first class hotel.  But what I love the most about staying in a nice suite hotel NY is simply relaxing.

Sounds a little too general but let me explain.  During the normal day to day course of events we are constantly tense for any number of reasons.  Even when we get back to our homes or apartments we are a little tense.  This is because we know we have to do the whole thing over the next day.  When people stay in a hotel, they have the ability to fully relax.  You can make the room your own without having to worry about changing the linens, cleaning the furniture, and so on.  We can throw ourselves onto the nice, comfy bed and not have a care in the world, even if it is for a short time.

Staying in a hotel suite is a very rare thing so enjoy it as much as you can.
